So I am back after a few years, first post after I graduated
from college. Maybe, this lockdown is a real opportunity to get back to things
we cherish?
I took the phase as temporary and was spending more time
doing things that I would normally do over the weekend…
But after a few days, it really struck me that If this is
permanent, would I really be spending so time watching content, texting, and doing many other irrelevant things?
Probably not. I started normalizing, maybe dropped hope, accepted this state and started making changes, like treating this as a sort of permanent
state.
I made my lifestyle more
meditative, added daily music and meditation sessions. This phase is also full
of contemplation and focusing on more valuable
things. Also a phase to stop procrastinating because let’s be realistic, people
are getting infected and some of them are dying too.
I had become too busy in this ambitious world and this time
made me come back to the roots: Expressing love/care to people that really
matter, catching up with childhood friends, living a meditative lifestyle…. And
many more things that make life truly beautiful (to each its own).
It's indeed a good time to pause for a while and enjoy one's own company.
For those willing to explore oneself, I can sign you up for meditation webinars.

Will meditation help in strengthening will power in refraining from using social media as it proves to be counter productive rather than informative?
ReplyDeleteHi. Sorry for delayed response- I missed your message. People use meditation for various things - But in essence, meditation will bring you in a peaceful state and you become the master of your mind - You can use it to reduce social media use.
ReplyDeleteIt comes with practice, there are no shortcuts. Happy journey :)
